Before You Order
We ship started pullets throughout the continental United States (49 states).
We cannot reserve chickens, even if the breed that you want is not currently available. If you want to buy 5-6 week old chickens from us, you will need to place an order through our website for one or more of the breeds that we list as being available.
We will send you an email with shipping information when your order ships, but we will not contact you with shipping information prior to that.
If you choose local pick-up from our farm near Waco, Texas, we will contact you by email with local pickup instructions. For local orders, the pick-up day is the same as the ship day.
Regardless of the shipping date or pick-up date, your credit card will be charged when you place your order because we do not have a way to delay payments.
Good producers of brown eggs. Based on English Orpingtons (see below for more details).
Perhaps this is an assortment that takes the Orpington back to its root. In the U.S., the most popular variety of Orpington is the Buff Orpington. Many people don’t even know that other colors were developed before the buff color, with black being the first.
This assortment of English Orpingtons follows the English Orpington style – less dense feathers, shorter bodies and shorter legs with a more rounded shape than American-bred Orpingtons. They maintain the Orpington personality, docile with an excellent temperament. They are a good brown egg layer.
The assortment may include Silver, Blue, Chocolate, Jubilee and Mottled. Absolutely no color choice or guarantee – don’t even waste your time asking. These pullets are raised from day-old chicks that we purchase from Hoover’s Hatchery. We “borrowed” the photo from them until we can take our own.
These chickens are pretty rare, which is reflected in the price.
