Before You Order
We normally ship started pullets throughout the continental United States (49 states). However, until the weather cools, we will not be shipping. We will only have chickens available for local pick-up.
We cannot reserve chickens, even if the breed that you want is not currently available. If you want to buy chickens from us, you will need to place an order through our website for one or more of the breeds that we list as being available.
If you choose local pick-up from our farm near Waco, Texas, we will contact you by email with local pickup instructions. For local orders, the pick-up day is the same as the ship day.
Regardless of the shipping date or pick-up date, your credit card will be charged when you place your order because we do not have a way to delay payments.
Light Brahmas are gentle, quiet and easy to handle. They handle cold weather well and lay well into winter.
Available at several different ages (see below). The hen in the photo shows how they look once they reach maturity.
Light Brahmas are one of the most gentle breeds. They are very quiet and easy to handle. Their feathers are unusually soft, and they are likely go broody and hatch eggs. They are large birds with feathered legs.
With a pea comb and abundant feathering, they are very tolerant to cold weather. They will often lay their brown eggs well into the winter when other breeds have stopped laying. For a year-round egg flock, add some Light Brahmas to help ensure that you’ll have some eggs in the colder months.
