The following terms and conditions apply to all orders placed through our website as well as telephone or emailed orders.
For shipments of live poultry, we guarantee live delivery and 48-hour survivability and will issue a refund for losses. We sometimes ship some extras, so if you have losses please count the number of live birds before calling.
We do NOT guarantee one-day delivery. We have no control over the USPS and have never been able to collect on their overnight guarantee. So if your birds take more than one day to arrive, we will not refund the shipping cost, nor will we file for a refund.
Egg laying depends on many factors beyond our control, such as lighting, water, feed and air quality. Because of this, we do not guarantee that our birds will lay eggs by a certain date or at a particular rate.
We want you to be pleased with the birds you receive from us. If you have issues with them, even beyond the 48-hour window of our guarantee, please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know. We are not able to send replacements because of shipping costs, but in some cases, we can provide a refund.
We are certified under the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP), which is a national program designed to improve U.S. poultry and poultry products. Our flocks are tested for Pullorum-Typhoid and Avian Influenza (AI).
Immunizations of Started Poultry
All our started pullets have been vaccinated against Mareks.
We guarantee a 99% accuracy in sexing – that is, in identifying which chickens are females – and will refund you for your pullet if “she” turns out to be a male.
Before You Order
When you place your order, we will ship within 2 weeks of the order date.
We update our inventory on the website on Tuesday afternoons. If a particular breed shows up as “out of stock,” please check again after we have updated the inventory.
We cannot reserve chickens, even if the breed that you want is not currently available. If you would like to get 4-5 week old or 6-7 week old chickens from us, then you will need to place an order through our website for one or more of the breeds that we list as being available.
We will send you an email with shipping information when your order ships, but we will not contact you with shipping information prior to that.
Regardless of the shipping date, your credit card will be charged when you place your order because we do not have a way to delay payments.
We ship within the continental United States. We do not ship to Hawaii, Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands or to other countries or continents.
We ship on Tuesdays, with some exceptions. If we don’t ship on a particular Tuesday, then we shipped on either Monday or Wednesday. I will email you a tracking number once we ship. While we ship Priority Express to all areas outside of Texas, we DO NOT guarantee overnight delivery. We do guarantee live arrival (as described above) and that you will be satisfied with your birds. We pack the birds with Gro-gel for hydration. We pack enough to handle the occasional postal delay.
If you have issues with the birds when they arrive, please take a picture and email it to me. Or if we made a mistake in filling your order, please send me a picture. That helps me and my staff avoid making the same type of mistake in the future.
